Muntanyola´s Garrotxa cheese is an artisan semi-cured cheese made from pasteurised goat's milk.
Made without haste, with a natural blue-grey rind that reminds us of the cellar of a farmhouse where the best delicacies of the house used to be kept. It matures slowly and over a long period of time. When cut, it gives off an aroma of fresh milk. The colour of the interior is white, turning slightly straw-coloured next to the rind. In the mouth it is creamy, smooth and slightly acidic. Tender almonds, cream and dairy products are noticeable.
The milk used in the artisanal production of this semi-cured goat's cheese comes from their own herd and from farms in the area.
