1 kg of Vegas Bañezanas Pardina lentils (Lenteja Pardina), Tierra de Campos IGP, from the town of Riego de la Vega, Leon, Castile and Leon. Cloth bag packaging.
These lentils have smooth skin, and both the skin and the albumen are slightly soft. The albumen is moderately creamy, not very grainy or floury. Only slightly astringent. Pardina Lentil from Tierra de Campos PGI
Seeds of the species Lens culinaris ssp. Culinaris, microsperm subspecies, Europae group, cultivated for human consumption under the name Pardina.
The plants must be local ecotypes that have adapted over the years to the agricultural and climatic conditions of the area, or commercial varieties obtained from these ecotypes. They are robust, resistant to most pests, tolerant of diseases, adapt well to drought and produce a medium yield.
Physical and morphological characteristics: The outer skin is brown or brown with black mottling or mottling, which can cover the entire lentil. The cotyledons are yellow. The minimum caliber is 35 mm, although up to 4% smaller lentils are allowed.
Minimum fat content: 0.9%.
