70 cl bottle of Mascaró Brandy V.O. Fine Marivaux, Reserva, minimum 3 years old, from the town of Vilafranca del Penedès, Barcelona, Catalonia. ABV: 40%

Brandy with double distillation, made following the Charente method and aged for a minimum of 3 years in French oak barrels.

Coupage: Penedès Wines.

Static aging: 3 years in French oak.

Distillation: Mascaró VO Fine Marivaux brandy is made with grapes from Antonio Mascaró's farms, located in Penedès (Barcelona). The grapes they use are pressed and vinified in the winery differently from the rest, since they look for wines with a low alcohol level and high acidity with the aromas typical of each variety. Following the double distillation in copper stills method, the holandas (wine distillate) of each variety and year are distilled and aged separately, using a manual technique that allows Mascaró to bring his own stamp to his products. This brandy ages a minimum of 3 years in 300-liter French Limousin oak barrels, in a process completely controlled by a winemaker from the Mascaró family. The assembly or blend operation, the mixing of the different hollandas, is artisanal, resulting in an intense, balanced and complex brandy.

Tasting note: Visual: Amber color with golden nuances. Nose: Intense aroma with a predominance of aging notes such as cocoa and candied fruit, on a background of fine distillation. Palate: Tasty, firm and dry, with good balance and persistence.

Excellent to accompany coffee.

Since 1946 the Mascaró family has made wine specially designed for distillation, which they produce in the distillery based in Vilafranca del Penedès.
