70 cl bottle of Gan Licor Bonet herbal liqueur (Licor de hierbas), from Sant Feliu de Guíxols, in the Costa Brava of Girona (Catalonia)
This classic artisan liqueur is obtained by distilling fruits, flowers, rhizomes and natural herbs in ethyl spirits in copper stills in a bain-marie. The result is mixed with sugar syrup and aged in vats, bocoyes and American oak casks, of various capacities and connected to each other, for about 12 months.
Bonet liqueur is perfect to drink on its own or on the rocks after meals. It is a perfect after-dinner liqueur to accompany social gatherings, celebrations, etc. It can be drunk neat or on the rocks. Ideal as a digestive. Sweet and aromatic, smooth and pleasant.
Production began in 1862 by Domingo Bonet, who founded the Bonet Distillery, producing all kinds of liqueurs, including a liqueur that was very popular and was given the name Estomacal Bonet, with a secret formula that remains unchanged to this day, according to the current manufacturers.
It was Ramón Bonet, son of Domingo Bonet, who marketed this liqueur and promoted it all over the world. In 1897 he was awarded the Diploma of Honour and the Gold Medal at the International Exhibition in Paris, who could have been there, the Gold Medal, Diploma and Grand Prize at the International Exhibition in Barcelona in 1912 and more recently the Trophy for the highest international quality in Amsterdam in 1975. Advertising at the time called it the Family Liqueur.
